About the Artist
I am relatively new to the art of mosaics, as I broke my
first tile in 2003. Since then I've vigorously studied the
art and experiment with anything I can get my hands
on. I work full time as a firefighter, and have job
history in HVAC, bar tending, ranching and farming,
automotive work and some home construction. I
graduated from University of Texas of San Antonio in
2002 with a Bachelor's of Biology, and an equivalent of
a minor in Electrical Engineering. (UTSA doesn't offer
EE as a minor, but I've accumulated quite a few hours
in it.) I've taken classes in drawing and design, and
have sketched as a hobby for several years. Now that
I've settled, I spend my off time from firefighting
designing and constructing mosaics.
